Verifi TT is a new, world leading technology, developed by AgResearch, which brings traceability to the international textile industry.
It consists of a unique, customer-distinct tracer carried within a fine synthetic fibre which is blended with any staple spun yarn or non-woven textile material. At a blend ratio of 1:3000 this fibre is invisible to the eye and has no discernible influence on fabric properties.
A Verifi TT compact, hand-held reader will detect the marker fibre in top, yarn and finished fabric. The test can be applied at any point along the value chain, including the retailer's shelf. There are no expensive, time-consuming laboratory tests.
Verifi TT can be incorporated into woven or printed textile labels, either in the yarn or in the ink.
